Please plan to attend the next meeting on Tuesday, November 13 at 10 a.m. in the home of Jerry & Shirley Vinyard (Flamingos #51). The Vinyards have an adequate supply of chairs and will provide coffee and water. Members are encouraged to bring goodies to share.

Favor de asistir la próxima reunión de la asociación, el martes, 13 de noviembre, en la casa de Jerry y Shirley Vinyard (Flamingos #51). La familia Vinyard tiene bastante asientos para todos y proveerán café y agua. Los miembros pueden llevar botanos para compartir.

It’s nice to see so many returning. There are a few of us missing, however, and many are experiencing or have had adventures in health care over the past months. It’s times likes these that make us grateful for good neighbors and helping hands.

Es un placer ver tanta gente regresando a la Zona. Nos faltan algunos. Hay muchos que están pasando or habían pasados atrás de aventuras médicas. Cuando nos encontramos en talles circonstancias, apreciamos muchísimo los vecinos que nos ayuden con gracia.

Speaking of gratitude, we will certainly miss the host of last year’s Thanksgiving dinner. Dr. Jim Nelson died this past summer.

There are other changes. Harry Burnett, after ten hardworking years as head of maintenance, has passed that baton to Larry Cobb. You’ll see Larry’s contact information, along with other officers of the association over there on the sidebar. Remember to SMILE when you call to report a problem. I know from experience living with the guy that smiles go a long way. (So do chocolate chip cookies.)

Hay otros cambios. Después de diez anos cuidando el mantenimiento de nuesto environmento físico aquí en la Zona, Harry Burnett ha pasado esta responsibilidad a Larry Cobb.
